I love the darkening and halos. Will the ISO list be just icons or can you configure it to give more details? Also the refresh icon's light source is on the wrong side (just being nitpicky).
When your estimate for commiting this, assuming all goes well?
Uh yeah, note that the widget style itself is just the Oxygen KDE theme, the halo being KWin effects, etc. I.e.: virtually Linux/Unix-exclusive
About the icons: The four left icons are just system default buttons, that's why they don't quite fit to the others atm. I still haven't received any new icons, unfortunately
Guess I'll just create some screenshots for the Windows build...

Oh well. Maybe that will come at a later date.
Added screenshots of the Windows build now

Are you planning on ditching Wx for Qt? Are there any advantages?
oh and +10 for the "1st time wizard" and games arranged in grids.
Thanks

It's not really a "1st time wizard", it's actually an action in the Help menu and is an issue reporting wizard. It's able to automatically provide (or at least request) some info which is usually not thought of by users, for example the build used, GPU and GPU drivers or other stuff.
About the advantages of Qt over wx, it's a MUCH nicer API to code with. It doesn't look like crap within KDE. It's not buggy as hell and you don't need to workaround platform differences. Possibly more.
Disadvantage is that to compile that thing you need a pretty big SDK (... although it actually is smaller than both the Windows Platform SDK or the DirectX SDK) and it requires an additional compilation step. Those two are the reasons why most of the Dolphin devs wouldn't accept replacing the wxWidgets GUI with a Qt4 one, so for now this is unlikely to become an "official" replacement.
Awww it's such a cutie xD
Well, now that dolphin uses GIT I guess you could just branch it. I'd love to see it in action. Perhaps there are other devs who would like to maintain this =d
