HI All,

I do apologise if this has been asked before but I couldn't work out how to change it. Up until today I was able to view the revisions with rXXXX number after it in the left hand side of screen. Now however, this has been replaced by some hexadecimal number and a visual representation of the trunk.

Is there any way to change this back or is this just a google change that I just have to live with?

Huh

The Dolphin team has decided to change from SVN to Git.
Is some way of know what revision is newer and what is older on these hexadecimal representation? (we will need some way of making this working on the wiki)...
Just only show git tags ("releases") in the wiki. Yes, there have been only few releases in the last years, but we'll likely release more alphas in the future. People are recommended to only use official releases anyway.
If any specific commit changed a game's behavior, you can additionally specify that commit's hash.
I asked because on the wiki we have an compatibility chart that use revision number as input to make the chart, is some logical on the hex value of the revisions on GIT?
There is no simple logic behind the values.
You can still add rev numbers to git but I don't think it's necessary.
Unless I'm missing something, you can't add rev numbers to git in a simple fashion.
Obviously, you could just go ahead and tag every single commit, but that'd be just plain stupid. ;P
Yeah but, this revs were used as reference, aint there anyway to know if a build is older or newer? Will we have to stick to building dates? what about the Dolphin site downloads? Are GIT modifications fully reversible like the svn revs? Meh, I can't checkout this, how should I do? I'm trying to follow the checkout page instructions... Should I still use Tortoise? what client is recommended for this?

Sorry for the massive amount of questions Tongue
