I have to say playing the 25fps mode always felt like it was sped up to me already. I checked some videos of the japanese version and it seemed to be a bit slower.
And just now I've tried to run it in with selected 60 frames, which results in 30 frames and now at least to me it feels like it's twice as fast as it should be. But of couse it looks extremely smooth in 30fps and 4x res. But the speed just looks so completely unnatural to me that I'd hate to play it that way.
But does anyone know about something about the 25 fps running faster already that the
japanese wii version?
What was confusing me the most in that regard was the fast moving grass in the 25fps mode. It looks kinda ridiculous, and I don't have that same feeling watching this playthrough video.
Wow... good catch; I just placed my JP party and PAL party in the same spot. JP version running at 30fps, PAL version at 25, and indeed the grass in the PAL version seems to be moving quite a bit faster.

Question is, is it also like that whent he PAL Xenoblade runs on acutal Wii hardware, or is it a problem with the emulation.

It's an emulation problem. On actual Wii hardware, it's running perfectly fine with 30 frames and smooth camera movement without being way too fast.
Since there have been cases of other games running @25 frames on Dolphin when they shouldn't, I wonder if any of them ever got fixed? Or would it somehow be possible to put all the english translated stuff into a japanese image of the game? Crappy idea, but who knows...

I tried to put english subtitles in the japanese ISO but i failed, dunno it's actually doable. I know there is menu translations for JP version but i don't know how they made it.

First part is running on 30fps 120% speed.
Second part is 25fps, normal speed.
Enjoy!!!

Thanks for your video!! I tried your settings... Only issue I have is the sound being choppy
Of course. You can't use LLE with that processor speed, so you have to make do with HLE and the glitching.

Maybe it's because you were recording but I can hear the same type of sound popping/stuttering in that video that I get.

Try to low some settings. Most of the time it work and your sound will be ok.
