Hi there.

I've been emulating GCN just fine for a while, and I have save files for several different games, no issue.

Today I decided to play Twilight Princess, PAL GCN, for the first time. It says the memory card is corrupted and I need to format it. But when I open another game, it works fine as always.

So, what should I do? Will formatting my 'memory card' delete my other data, most importantly my Super Mario Sunshine data?
I had this problem after getting my second gc game, not sure how to solve this but an alternative is creating a 2nd memory card in slot b and save to it, if you format you will lose all other data..but somebody there has more than 2 gc games so i'd like to hear how this is solved
Alright, I'll look into how to do that. I would like to know how to do it otherwise as well, though, yeah. I have currently files for Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, Pac-Man World 3, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue (for my little sister), and Sonic Adventure 2.

This is a good solution. You can also make a copy of your MC to use it later on then you format a new MC and you keep your old one...
Alright, and how would I go about doing that best?

I dug around in the files but I'm not quite sure what to do...
Config > Gamecube > Slot B (Memory card) and a second memory card should be detected by the game.

Lordvador's suggestion is better but i'll leave the explanation to him cause it has some delicate stuff, one mistake and you could lose all your data, basically click on the ... copy the files in the folder elsewhere, as for next step i'll leave it to Lordvador

Alright! Slot B will work for now then, thanks! I'll wait for the other explanation <3 I got caught up in playing Super Mario Sunshine instead.
Just copy your MC on a HDD for example to save your data then reformat your card. Import your old MC when it's necessary

More than likely you have the NTSC version of Super mario Sunshine
dolphin uses separate memory cards for each region and if Z:TP is the first PAL game that you have used you will need to format that ingame
look in Dolphin folder/User/GC/
I suspect that you have a file called MemoryCardA.USA.raw and do NOT have a file called MemoryCardA.EUR.raw
to be safe you can easily make backups of your current saves (copy the memory card file and back it up somewhere)
Thank you, that explains so MUCHBig Grin so slot 1 for EUR and slot 2 for USA
