In my college apartment now, where 4 other guys also reside, but they're all older than me

So far I've kept mostly to my room, which they also have... hope the ice will break soon
IDK why, but I kinda excepted them all to go "Hi welcome to the house!" or something...
Just start talking to them and introduce yourself. Be the more mature one and take charge of the situation instead of walking around feeling shy or nervous.
Well it does sound like the best idea. However now it's 0 a.m here so maybe tomorrow. Also there's like ~100 houses with students nearby, but it doesn't seem like too many has moved in yet.
go in and go all like
WHO WANTS TO PARTEH
This brings back memories. You don't have to do jack shit if you don't want to. It will inevitable eventually happen even if you avoid it (just make sure to attempt conversation or at least say hi back if someone says hi to you otherwise you'll look like an asshole). But no not everybody likes to run around meeting and greeting the new guy(s), and that's ok. In fact I'm glad my college roommate was a laid back kind of guy that wasn't super social, it made my life a lot easier.

You lucky bastard. You will never know what it's like to live in a shared dorm room.
He wouldn't have to do anything if it wasn't bothering him to the point of making a thread about it, but since it is, he should get it out of the way and sleep well. They're only people, just talk to them.
Ok so then what he needs to do is:
*Dr. Nick's voice*: Hi everybody!
"college apartment", well I'm not sure exactly what to call it, everyone has a room with bed and their stuff, and the kitchen and bathroom is shared, maybe that's not an apartment?
So I will have to see these people a lot obviously when university begins, that's why I assumed it was a bigger of deal for the others to discuss stuff to newcomers asap, (like where in the refrigerator people have their food, I just put mine in an empty area)
But I guess it will all inevitably happen, there was this guy currently not here I met earlier when I inserted some furniture, he seemed more the talkative type.
Why so worried?, dude 1 week ago u don't even know that ppl exist, what change now?, nothing, just live ur live and thats all, they are just ppl.
Just remember, be ur self and get away from troubles, the 90% problems in the world are caused by ppl, so why the haste in meet more ppl

?

Without being there I can't say for sure. But based on your description it's probably an apartment style dorm. Either that or you moved into an apartment complex that is near the campus but has no official relationship with the university/college. Are you housed on campus?

When I was living in a dorm we had separate refrigerators (mini ones). But if you have a full sized fridge either give each person a shelf or put labels on your stuff (post it notes + scotch tape do well).
