Hello, this is probably stupid and I actually asked this before in a different thread but I didn't get the answer I need.
So,
Is the GTX 760m enough for dolphin if I want to play Monster Hunter Tri and similarly demanding games coupled with an I7 - 4702QM @ 2.6 to 3.2 GHz??
Thanks!

Yeah do not worry your hardware is pretty powerful for a laptop, just don't go crazy in IR and AA settings in dolphin

Great! Thanks for the heads-up!!

Hello,
I am new to the emulator and forums, and I am a huge fan of the monster hunter series. I decided to try out emulating MH3. The scenes and menu are running great, but as soon as I get into the town or into the maps it slows down drastically. But besides the point, I was reading into the slowness and was wondering if my specs were good enough to run the game on the emulator? Maybe it is just my bad graphics card :/ Anyways this is what I know, let me know if you can help! Thanks
CPU: I3-2330M @2.20Ghz
GPU: Intel HD 3000 (Not sure what else to put)
RAM: 4gb
Its a Dell inspiron N4110 laptop. Thanks!
Your CPU is too slow for MH3 , GPU is also slow

Drastically?
wait, how 'drastically'? in exact FPS if possible.
I used to own an HP Pavilion G4 1001TX with the same processor and speed ( I'm not sure, might as well as look it up in the net) and I kinda enjoyed playing MH3 in it.
it isn't playing in a perfect 30 fps (especially in town, but gets to 30 outside the village except for areas with many monsters) but I don't see as to why you're having problems.
hmmm.. ah yes.. try lowering your Internal Resolution to absolute minimum.
The Pavilion G4 has the 6470m and I was playing at 1.5 IR back then.
I also used Triforce Dolphin Build.
His specs are too poor to run the game well in larger areas.
Your Pavilion G4 had a much faster GPU.

Ah yes, that's why I pointed it out in my last post.

I get a max speed (in Pokemon Colosseum) of 80% with everything set to the lowest it can possibly be and no extra options turned on. In Shadow the Hedgehog, that is about 40-60%, maybe. I haven't tried anything past the Wind Waker menu, dunno there, but Tales of Symphonia is slow as well.
Your two guides say that with my CPU and graphics card, I should be able to get a good speed on both. Would anyone please help with speeding it up?
The first post of this thread was started 2 years ago - newer revisions of Dolphin are typically slower but more accurate than older revisions.
