Ugh, i knew i should buy that HD 5770.
So i guess just stick to 3xIR and some AF for now
Thanks for the reply.
tbh my OC'd 5830 can't even do 3x IR and 4x SSAA

That still wouldn't be anywhere near enough.
SSAA is EXTREMELY demanding.
What is the minimal requirement (CPU/GPU) for 3xIR and 4xSSAA ?
Depending on the game ...
GPU intensive game like SMG , Xenoblade , The Last Story : GTX 670 , GTX 680
well i currently dont play the most GPU intensive games atm. mainly SSBB, Twilight Princess (GC) , and Sonic adventure 2.
im upgradeing to a 8850 next year which should be powerful enough
I just recently upgraded to 650 Geforce, it plays my current Gamecube games 3x IR, 16xQ CSAA and 16x Anisotropic. It croaks on 4x IR, I could turn down the AA and try and find a sweet spot but its just so easy to max out everything and keep 3x IR. Iev been playing Sonic Adventure 2, Super Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker. Havent had any slowdown yet, however I cant get F-Zero to play worth a damn, it worked (okay) before I upgraded but now it does not.
I havent ventured into Wii much I dont think my CPU is powerful enough and I have a real Wii for that anyways.
Can my cpu + gpu give me high quality ? 3 or 4 ir and which ssaa ?
Gtx 550 ti and i5 3470 with 3.8ghz in turbo boost.
have i some chance with smg and last story ?
Can U please tell me the true diference between 3x ir and 4x ir ?
And ssaa levels?
Thanks
It should be able to handle 4x IR with no AA or 2x IR with 4x SSAA.
If you have a 720p monitor or HDTV (1280 x 720 or 1366 x 768 resolution) use 2x IR with 4xSSAA.
If you have a higher resolution monitor such as 1080p (1920 x 1080) use 4x IR with no AA.
Just realized two things.
1. Can't the R300 series run dolphin? I have a Radeon 9600 laying around that I would test with if I could, but all my working AGP mobos don't support any CPUs with SSE2. (I used to have one, but it died)
2. No integrated graphics are enough? Really? I'm pretty sure the Wind Waker CPU bench thread showed that Trinity had no GPU bottleneck...
