While trying to play super smash bros melee or super smash bros brawl I got the following error code:
CreatePixelShader From ByteCode failed at Src\D3DShader.cpp 84

processor:Intel®Pentium® M processor 1.70GHz
Graphics Card: Ati Mobility Radeon 9600 series

Your PC sucks, and thus you can't play dolphin....

That GPU and CPU both are too weak

Ninjaspartan88

when I use software renderer i just get 1 fps and alot of sound skipping errors
Software-Renderer doesn't use any GPU Shader (DX, OpenGL whatever) so it runs whatever GPU you have....
But you won't get much speed with it, it was made for debugging purposes only...
Drop to a lower version or upgrade your rig...i learnt this the hard way
Your GPU doesn't support at least pixel shader 2.0a, the last one working for old GPUs are r7589 (however some games will have several graphical issues due the lack of PS 2.0a, but many games are playable)...
I'm having kinda the same problem. I installed Dolphin and then I tried to play my ROM and after I tried to start a new game it said "Failed to compile pixel shader!" and the music started skipping. I tried doing all the things Dolphin said on the performance tips and tricks page, and it speeded up, but as soon as I tried to start a new game, it gave me that message and the music was skipping again. I don't know what's wrong, I have a decent computer, I don't think it's out of date, please help!
Post your specs.....
And btw, if it has a Intel IGP, don't bother posting again Wink
"Excluding" all Intel GMAs isn't necessary, only the older ones have this issue, any Intel GMA newer than X3000 series (G965) doesn't have these issues, and works at good speeds using Native 1x, no AA and no AS...
CPU: Intel-Based Custom PC (not Dual Core), 3.6 GHz, 32 Bit
RAM: 1.5GB
GPU: nVidia Geforce FX 5500, 128

and also, i tried this on my laptop, and it did the exact same thing, and my laptop is a lot better than this computer. It's:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz, 64 Bit
RAM: 4GB
GPU: Mobile Intel® 4 Chipset Family

Also:
-The game I'm trying to play is Rune Factory Frontier, from Harvest Moon
-I don't know what an Intel GMA is
