in the UK the news is still saying that customers still aren't buying expensive items because of one reason or another (something to do with unemployment and price of living going up etc). not exactly the best time to be selling the 3DS in some countries even with the price drop

Bah it's not even near failing. Just wait till they release some more Nintendo goodies and the sales will rise even more.

On the week Mario 3D Land was launched sales increased 325% alone! It just outselled the original DS's first year. The 3DS wasn't really failing.
While we're at it, Mario Kart 7 is the BEST portable Mario Kart ever!
I also got it 2 days before official release
