Anything to do with buffering and such. If it's a basic router it might not have any options to adjust latency. However if that's the case try to keep the router close to your system and away from anything that could generate electromagnetic interference. Or just go wired. I'm not sure I would make a melee script but it's up to you.
btw I'm collecting lvl 64's now :p
We need recruits for XTemu TF2 clan.
I hate to be the guy who points this out but:
1. We have no website
2. We have no forums
3. We have no game servers
4. We have no mumble, ventrillo, teamspeak, etc. servers
5. We rarely play together and never on a regular schedule
6. When we do play together I am the only one who talks (on occasion ED2) and tries to be social. This is pretty much required to create the image of a fun community of friends to play with instead of random people in pubs that think they're "leet" enough to wear a clan tag (and tf2 is full of these people which makes people cautious). Also I'm not exactly a good person to do this since as ED2 has likely figured out by now (xtreme always has voip turned off so he doesn't hear our conversations) I tend to get more pissed off than I should playing competitive online games. Particularly when it involves teamwork and people refuse to cooperate even though it's required to win. Therefore I am not exactly a good community representative.
7. Our community is named xtemu for a reason. It is based around emulation. A subject that happens to be far less popular than gaming in general, doesn't attract as much attention, and doesn't provide as much opportunity for events involving community participation (unless it's the official community for a specific popular emulator like dolphin-emu). It's also broken up into a few very large communities that are either official communities for popular emulators (e.g. dolphin-emu) or general emulation communities (e.g. emu-cr). These big communities suck up what little potential users there are. Unlike gaming where many small communities exist along side each other yet still remain active and healthy. Mainly because they play with each other on a regular basis which creates semi-strong peer bonds.
8. All of our members know each other from other communities, talk to each other on other communities, and participate heavily in these other communities where we are all involved because it's "where the action is". For example if we had our own forums again where would I be more likely to post something about dolphin? On this forum where it will receive lots of discussion and all of us will see it anyways? Or on xtemu forums where only a few of us will see it and will have likely already read it on other sites that all of us frequent anyways?. In its current state I see no reason for an official site, forums, etc. to even exist. We already talk about the same stuff on other communities that we all belong to like this one. We already talk to each other via other means. And we just end up copy/pasta content from other sites that we all visit so there is no real original content to speak of. Perhaps I am being a bit of a pessimist here but I thought long and hard about why I didn't enjoy posting on xtemu as much as here despite the fact that I generally prefer smaller communities (though I do miss a lot of our old members

).
9. If we remain an emulation community and start recruiting as a gaming clan in games like tf2 that might confuse members.
I had considered joining labcoat gamers because of how much fun it is to play with them. Even when I'm losing horribly they are so fun to play with that I don't care. I find myself laughing a lot on their servers. It makes me forget that I'm playing a video game and feels more like hanging out with friends. And this should basically be the goal of any gaming community. I wear the |XTemu| tag instead because it helps raise awareness for our small community and because I thought it might be a little insulting to the rest of you if the rest of you were wearing it and I wasn't. I want |XTemu| to change into something different, something more. I believe in the potential of this community because it has great people. And great people are the foundation of a great community. But I find it hard to be a proper contributor with the community in its current state and with its current areas of focus. I would welcome a shift towards a more PC gaming oriented community. But at the same time I realize that my opinion may not be shared by the majority of members. Particularly the ones that do not frequent this particular board and will therefore not read this post. Therefore I ask that you meet with your other active members like rikki and discuss the future with them before making any decisions.
Also I wasn't sure if this was private enough where I should PM this to you and ED2 instead of posting it in this public thread. But since you initiated the topic I figured that it was ok.
Regarding the lack of a website or server, not really a big deal as there are a lot of clans without either one if what I see on Skial servers is anything to go by. I went with XTemu for the reason that it's the only unique name, every other clan name I tried thinking of was already taken by another clan and I don't want to run into any problems being accused of stealing another clans name. I don't have voip turned on because it breaks my concentration considering the voice chat is constantly going, I am one that needs quiet to concentrate and do well. I am very sensitive to noise, just to illustrate I have difficulty sleeping because any small noise wakes me up, I have a fan on high just so I can sleep. I am also not that sociable, in text chat fine, but I think my voice sounds stupid and I stutter a lot plus 99% of the time I don't know what to talk about or am able to hold conversation.

This is true. But I really want our community to be something more. We need something.

So you were planning on branching off a separate community to act as our tf2 clan originally? Yeah that makes sense. I'm just wondering if we do start building a gaming clan how is this going to work? I mean XTemu is an emulation community after all.

That's fine. I'm just informing you that it's hard to get new members without being social in public.
Found Australium Gold.
Is that rare?
EDIT: Just saw you guys are looking for a GameServer, I already thought about getting a vServer for some stuff, maybe we can host Tf2 on there

So rare it doesn't exist :p
Edit: Oh, you mean the paint XD, as a drop any paint is rare, I've only seen it once, actual value wise it isn't worth much due to the fact it can be bought in the store.
Reddit claimed to buy out TF2 for April fools. I missed the whole thing. It took a while for me to figure out what was going on, and understand reddit humour again.
