Had another awesome micspam friday with the bros over at labcoat gamers. I'm going to start playing with them on Friday nights regularly, if anyone wants to join us you are welcome to it (most of us don't get online until 10 or 11 P.M. EST).

This references something discussed way back, but remember when I said we were getting barely playable performance on my siblings PC, and you told me to check the temps? Well the CPU is 45°C under load and the GPU is 49°C under load, so the issue isn't thermal throttling after all. Any other suggestions (other than replace the whole thing [which I have a plan for, but it won't happen for 6 months])?

Did you ever try the multi core rendering?

Yep. Turned it on as soon as you suggested it. It helped, but not enough.
