Last night was easily one of the best gaming experiences I have had in a VERY long time. I was on the |LAB| 88 MPH server (I might have that in reverse, |LAB| might be at the end not the beginning) and they were all taking turns playing audio clips of shows from the 90s and making sarcastic remarks to each other. Something about playing TF2 to the theme of animaniacs or pokemon was really awesome. These people were a real joy to play with too, it fills me with hope. Earlier I was playing on some other server that I bookmarked (I don't remember the name off the top of my head) that had a similarly fun/easy going community. The two main people talking were red and jealousy (who is female) and the commentary between them had me laughing pretty consistently. Check out this one from the chatbox:
Jealousy: Why won't you heal me red?
Jealousy: Are you afraid of commitment?

Quote:Are we discussing what our voices sound like? If so, even I sound normal (somewhat?), cause I don't think so when I listen to my recorded voice.

Maybe not as normal as us but still pretty normal. Your voice definitely sounds older (since you are) and American (once again, since you are).
Hey NV, I've been looking for a more mature server and clan community. I've been playing on Skial and Lotusclan servers where the majority seem like immature kids akin to the Steam forums. Please let me know if you know of such a server/community.
Loads. But it's not just about the server. It's also about the time. These servers aren't password protected so anybody can jump in them as long as their are empty slots. The trick is to go on the server at the same time as the clan. If by some rare chance there are a annoying little kids on the server the clan members will just kick them.
I am wondering if anyone can suggest a good gaming mouse. Looking for something with great precision that will give me more control over my aim. I have fairly large hands so I need a gaming mouse that I can hold onto comfortably, something with programmable buttons. Currently I am using a poor mouse, either it feels too sluggish with the sensitivity down lower or it's too sensitive with sensitivity is up higher so I either underaim or overaim quite a bit.
Price range?

I have the Logitech G300, alot of people say it is too small, but I have long fingers and don't think so :3
Anyone else notice that valve is starting to use leveled weapons again? XD
Anything around $80 or under.
I'm in need of a new mouse too. The G300 does look pretty good, but I'm not a wired mouse user. I'm going to look for something similar that is wireless.
Anything by Logitech is great. As an aspiring engineer it kills me to say this but I have no idea why. There is a reason that they are so popular though. Every single mouse I have ever tried from other brands feels wrong/crappy no matter how much time I take to try and get used to it and no matter what settings I use. The movement just doesn't feel as smooth, fluid, or precise as a logitech mouse no matter what sensitivity or other settings I use. Every logitech mouse I have ever used feels solid whether it's a high budget or low budget model. Clearly they have invested a lot of money into R & D and it payed off, very few other companies have managed to nail down the technology quite as well as logitech. With that out of the way I recently bought a G500 and I love it, but it is a bit on the pricey side for some people and most of the special features of this model is stuff that I don't use (adjustable weight for example) so I probably could have just gotten a G400 instead. What amazes me is that adjusting settings like weight or sensitivity doesn't really change the overall feeling of the mouse movement, you can still tell that it's a logitech mouse. It also doesn't really make sense that logitech mice (in my experience) have been so much better than other brands, especially in the low budget arena. Digital mice aren't THAT complicated, you would think that other companies would be able to replicate the same systems fairly easily.
Thanks NV. Smile

I got the MVM server back up, moved the server to a spare dedicated box, separate from my main system I use for gaming so I shouldn't need to shut down the server at all. The ip address has changed and is now 74.79.166.50:27015.

Edit: I meant never shut the server down except for updates and customization.
