Ever since gun mettle I'm been getting really bad performance (currently have everything on medium-low and get 45 avg).

Same. Especially in spectator mode. Those character outlines kill performance for some reason.

I've noticed unusually heavy CPU load on my rig too. How come the Valve devs never find any performance issues, but when I completely reinstall Windows, it performs the the same (shitty).

Why do I even want those character outlines, they just make it worse for enemy spies.

I must be CPU bottlenecked since no matter what settings I use I get the same FPS and my new graphics card doesn't seem to have changed anything.

TF2 has started competitive beta.

Welp.. I think I am getting better finally haha. I obliterated an entire team as demo and they even had a hacker. We were doing so well up until some teammates rage quitted and we got spawn camped. We could have broke free but we were down teammates and our medic went AFK in spawn.

Btw, anyone else seem to be getting abnormal lag and ping spikes lately?

^^, I'd love to see if higher ranks are better, but I can't level up because my team always sucks. (I don't suck, I promise!)
