I've been thinking lately, and I'd appreciate some opinions on two subjects: BFB vs. stock Scattergun, and Loch vs stock launcher. In both cases, half the people I see think the non-stock is amazing and in every way superior, and the other half is adamant that it's a gimmick that has multiple flaws and is in general only situationally useful, and that you should stick with the reliable stock weapons.

My own opinion/rant about the BFB: (Show Spoiler)

And the Loch: (Show Spoiler)
Loch is OP mk?

Because it deals 20 extra damage and has no rollers?
20%*
It may not be OP but it's not balanced as well as it could be. Don't forget that extra pipe more recently and the increased projectile speed allowing Demo's to hit shots across the map with relative ease.
I guess, yeah. I feel like they're almost equally effective, and depend on preference.

@ED2: 20% * 100 base damage = 20 extra damage.
Doesn't matter since you don't always do 100 damage >.>
Holy cow the new update.

RIP economy (and I mean more so than before). With all the new shit introduced, the market is gonna begin having epileptic convulsions for a while, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who will either quit trading or go on hiatus until that sorts itself out, thus further harming the economy as a whole. Unless, of course, the rather big update results in a huge influx of players and revives TF2 (and, by extension, the economy), but I highly doubt that will happen.

As for the balancing changes, I actually think most of them are great.
Fat Sniper is now viable, with the Tomislav buff. Loch has become nothing more than a crutch for players who can't aim - perhaps not the best fate, but definitely better than having the potential to be completely OP in the hands of a skilled player. Dalokohs bar is still outclassed by other secondaries, but at least it's usable now. Heavy can actually take on sentries. The Bazaar Bargain is still mostly a gimmick, I believe, but at least is less useless.
Vaccinator... I never used it before, and I don't know if I will now. I don't play medic much anyway, and a good old invuln is still better.
The BFB has finally been nerfed, and the Scattergun again reigns supreme. The PBPP has been completely changed, not sure what to think of that.
The Short Circuit does not grant full immunity from soldiers and demos to sentry nests anymore. That said, it is not probably completely outclassed by the wrangler. The general class changes seem pretty balanced to me. The minisentry though... At least the reduced health while building and lack of ammo gibs will make repeatedly spamming minisentries harder for engies.
The spy... Honestly the DR nerf seems good to me, now you can't basically escape any situation and go pick up some ammo boxes and be right back in the fight. It will make all those super-aggresive trickstabbing headshotting spies running in the middle of the battlefield more careful, and might restore the class to a more stealth and strategy based gameplay style. The bonuses while invisible should contribute to that - overall making the invisiwatch and C&D more popular relative to the DR.
Also hopefully the new animations won't break the custom ones I use. They shouldn't, but you never know.

Now this post has become far longer than I intended it to be, so I'd just like to finish by saying, RIP Caber, and RIP Black Box spamming. You will be missed.

Loch is useless if you can't aim
But it's a lot easier to aim with. Source: learned to aim consistently with Loch in a couple weeks, switched to stock a couple months ago and still suck at it (even though I main demo... If you can call it maining with how bad I currently am with it).

Also, @my comment about skins in the post above: they are actually separate weapons, much like festives, and are completely independent from everything else - not "skins" per se. Hence I retract all my previous comments about them ruining the economy - just adding a new type of weapon is actually pretty nice. (My initial impression was that they were pretty much revamping the whole weapon system, what with the strange clocks and what not.)
