I already have a strange one, and don't have anything to buy with anyway
Well I could trade mine with the specialized killstreak kit for your normal s.ubersaw and you could add an extra key worth of items (doesn't matter what) if you wanted. There isn't even an official price set on killstreak kits and weapons with killstreak kits yet but on the community market the s.ubersaw with a specialized killstreak kit goes for between $4 to $5 atm.
Someone mentioned this on Spuf and I thought it would be fun to try with a friend. Either I or someone else goes YER spy and the other medic on the opposite team. When I achieve disguise pocket whoever is the YER spy, with some decent acting on behalf of the spy it could be a riot. Other than that a pocket medic or pybro (if engineer) would be nice, I'll pocket someone if they pocket me. Big Grin
I'm not understanding the point of this prank. You can't attack anyone while you're in disguise without leaving yourself extremely vulnerable with the YER, medic or not. And why use the YER in the first place? Seems like this would work much better with any other loadout unless I'm missing something. Plus after awhile you'll probably both get kicked/banned.
YER, immediately disguise as your backstab victim. Just thinking of ways to have fun such as Holiday Punch Heavy, going for taunt kills and other things to have fun. Game is stressful with such high latency so I figure why not try to have some fun and not get so worked up. Against low and moderate skilled teammates and some fine acting from the spy it could prove fun or a bust but I figure why not try it out once for the heck of it..

This ^^
Guys you are kind of missing the point.. You don't lose disguise with a successful backstab while using the YER and will immediately disguise as your backstab victim. Y SO SERIOUS and not do something different for a change to have fun? Who cares if we'd get kicked, it would be a fun run while it lasted and we could all joke about it later. Haven't you guys ever played mittens Heavy, Sandvich Heavy, melee only, Pybro, only go for taunt kills etc.. or something else non serious just to have some fun, relax and keep stress levels down? If the enemy team isn't that skilled or aware, whomever is the Spy is good at acting and blending in it could be quite fun and disastrous. Anyone that would try kicking would be mad and this is not like those abusing exploits such as the recent infinite hp lvl3 sentry exploit who actually deserve to be kicked. Just claim you didn't know it was a Spy as Medics tend to be busy trying to heal everyone and sometimes out of pressure will accidentally heal or uber the spy if no other teammates are present. To make less room for error and enabling whomever the spy is to escape if it's too risky using Dead Ringer, L'Entrager and YER would be a decent loadout choice.

Other players have done this to troll or have fun so it could work out and thought to try it for a change. Another thing, with summer around the corner and no school is there going to be any change with either of your schedules i.e. more free time? You both aren't on much and when I see you playing it's too late at night for me to bother playing or I join and you end up leaving right after.
Guys, stop being so serious and devote all of the time when you have TF2 open to rocket jumping and surfing. That's how you kick back.
Yeah I'm tired of getting frustrated and bothering to do most of the work when I'm usually stuck with the newbie team. So rather than getting worked up since I'll always be at a severe disadvantage unless better internet comes along out here I decided why the heck not have some fun. Like on stage 3 Dustbowl when I stood off the side by Blu spawn shouting spy or thank you, doing the schadenfreude taunt, taunting as a Pyro without attacking anyone.

I don't usually do stuff like that but it was fun to not be so serious for a change and there weren't many people on the server at that time. I joked about it in chat how no one realized I was there right outside of Blu spawn but someone got mad because we lost lol.
Xtreme2damax Wrote:Haven't you guys ever played mittens Heavy,

Yes.

Xtreme2damax Wrote:Sandvich Heavy,

No? How would that even work considering the sandvich isn't a weapon?

Xtreme2damax Wrote:melee only,

Yes. But usually only in servers or organized games where everyone does it together.

Xtreme2damax Wrote:Pybro,

Not sure what that is.

Xtreme2damax Wrote:only go for taunt kills etc..

Too hard, so not really. I think I tried it once.

Xtreme2damax Wrote:or something else non serious just to have some fun, relax and keep stress levels down?

Sure. But that's very different from actively trying to sabotage your own team by teaming up with a friend on the opposite team. That just seems dickish to me.

Put yourself in their shoes. I would have no problem with someone killing me with any of the above methods. They're hard to pull off but very rewarding. If anything I find it quite honorable. But if I knew that my teams medic was actively trying to keep an enemy spy alive on purpose to sabotage us I would be furious and would call a kick vote immediately. This is equivalent to running around purposefully teamkilling in games that allow team damage (thankfully tf2 doesn't). Nobody puts up with that shit in other games because of how annoying and unfair it is.

I don't like lying to my team.

Xtreme2damax Wrote:Another thing, with summer around the corner and no school is there going to be any change with either of your schedules i.e. more free time?

Hahaha, no.

I've always taken classes during the summer. If I didn't I would never be able to graduate on time. And I've always had a job since the minute I stepped out of high school. My schedule always changes from term to term since class times are different and I organize my work schedule around my school schedule. But the total hours per week never changes much. It's usually around 40-60.

Xtreme2damax Wrote:You both aren't on much and when I see you playing it's too late at night for me to bother playing or I join and you end up leaving right after.

Yeah generally if I'm going to play video games I do it after I get home from work. Which is pretty late. I like to do homework/studying/errands/etc. during the daytime hours. If I try to play tf2 before school/work rather than after I find that none of my favorite servers are occupied and there is nothing but pubs filled with kids available (and a small amount of activity in general). All the adults have similar schedules to mine and tend to play at night, particularly on weekends. Even more particularly on Fridays. If you don't play at those times I find it very hard to find a good server to play on.

I'm the exact opposite. I goof off when my team is steamrolling and try hard when we're doing poorly and they actually need my help.

I actually find that stressful. I'm terrible at it and likely always will be. After I fail a jump 20 times in a row I'm ready to leave.
