No, that's just bands of arseholes ruining everyone's fun.
Xtreme2damax Wrote:What's the difference lol? A bunch of clan members or skilled players come in, stack on one team and steamroll every game.. In the majority of cases these are kids from competitive play and often tend to be immature assholes.

I highly doubt many of those kids are from actual leagues....

They usually practice in private servers since pubs don't present any challenge to them. And they tend to only play highly organized/scheduled games against either other clans or subdivisions of their own clan. If they're playing in a pub server the match hasn't been organized. If the match hasn't been organized then by definition it is not a competitive match.

@NV, many of them have clan tags and are active in competitive but go to pubs to pubstomp against lower skilled players and newbies. There is literally no way to win against them even with decent team composition such a power classes, engineers and medics. Recently these <SF> clan asshats have been coming in, all stacking onto one team and destroying the whole server, the two that stand out is a Phlog pyro that doesn't seem to die easily and his pocket medic buddy. But I partially blame Valve due to stacking becoming 10x worse on Valve servers since they changed quickplay. I'm referring to stacking by clans, comp and other skilled players in pubs, I'm not confusing competitive play with pubs lol.
Pubstomping is fun, though. My non-compie friends and I do it all the time. It's not just compies doing it, and it's mostly not compies doing it.
Fixed the tearing. Even though the game is running at 60FPS all the time, there's A LOT of input lag with Vsync on.
That's source engine for ya.
The whole VSync on the AMD driver seems to be bugged.

On a side note, the L4D2 and Portal 2 ports are very, very good. I max out 300FPS most of the time. Who the fuck made TF2 perform so bad.
TF2 has received constant, patch-on updates since it was released. The code is messy, and full of bugs and the like. Not to mention, it was made for a really old version of the source engine, back very shortly after they made it not practically freeze constantly, but before they properly optimized it.
Opened a thread about adding Adaptive VSync to TF2's OpenGL renderer.

So I just thought, you can't use OpenGL on windows can you >.>
