Randomly, it has been 1 year since the TF2 beta has been updated

We should really try and find a new game. Why do all modern multiplayer fps have to suck so hard?

Yeah I can't bring myself to play other games online besides TF2, it's sure unique compared to other games. It's too bad it's neglected as much as it is and the community left to do Valve's job while still making them money.

I would be playing BF if EA hadn't ruined it (let's take every single likeable mechanic and remove them so that we can turn the game into a generic CoD clone!). That's what prompted me to give tf2 a try in the first place. I needed another class and teamwork based multiplayer fps to fill its shoes. CoD has been getting progressively worse and activision progressively more greedy since CoD 4s success. Indie shooters are rare due to budget constraints and have communities far too small to ever find a game. The ones that do have enough money to make them always go the f2p route and implement pay2win mechanics. Most of AAA devs only seem to make CoD clones these days. The older shooters have over the years slowly become boring to me and their communities are quickly evaporating. I'm running low on options here. NS2 is practically the only unique online fps made recently that isn't a f2p cashgrab and has a community large enough to actually play with.

I would be hopeful for battlefront III (battlefront 1 and 2 were some of my favorite fps growing up) but EA dice will fuck it up somehow with their recent track record, I'm sure of it. If they implement battlelog again I will lose any remaining hope in them. Who thought it would be a good idea to implement the games UI in a web client so that you have to alt tab between applications everytime you want to do anything?

What about Titanfall?

We'll see. I refuse to buy any more games from EA at full price since my regret over me3. I'll have to see if I actually enjoy the gameplay at some point. But I doubt it will be my cup of tea.

Not to mention if it's a console port to PC it'll probably suffer from acute consolitis. Unless it stared off as a PC game and was ported to console or the console and PC versions were developed separately without being ported. I saw someone mention it was just another generic over-hyped consolized fps game.

It probably is. I haven't read much on it but I know it supposedly has poor graphics and a low player count. Which is not a good sign.
