Either you have one with a poor battery or your equipment consumes too much, mine does over 15 mins on a good day, hooked up to a 24-inch TV and cable box, but yeah, lasted like 30 secs when i connected it to the 50-inch display

Wait why would she do that? Something happened where the power needed to be shut off or is your mom still treating you like a young kid i.e.. a bedtime, making you do your chores and schoolwork else she'll shut the power off to make you do whatever she wanted you to do? :o

You guys don't have power outages over there, but over here buying it is almost a necessity, unless you want to take the risk of your motherboard getting fried, it's very common in workplaces actually.

I've seen 2 that I've thought of taking since they are never used

Independence would be a fine thing for you Mr. ExtremeDude2 and would give you a bit more peace of mind. Something to consider for the future, I know you are currently going to school (college?) so that's not something you can do just yet. Ever since I went independent I feel much better than I did before and it strengthened my relationship with my family.

On topic:

I have no plans for tonight or over the weekend so hopefully you, NV and Flaky will be available for a Mann Up tour.
