Also, I don't think it's that bad actually. The game gets slower update for update. People already complain and some people even requested they port it to the Portal 2 engine. However there was a war going between upgrading to the Portal 2 engine and staying with the old one. The devs said it would perform better with the Portal 2 engine but that would mean the loss of DirectX8 mode.
People eventually started creating a shitstorm because they wanted to keep playing TF2 with their shitty computers (which you could upgrade for like 50$ to play it smoothly with DX9 but noone cared) . Then nobody talked about it anymore. The End.
Try seeing if you're CPU bottlenecked by enabling DirectX 8 mode.

Have you checked your temps and clock rates to ensure that nothing is throttling?
Anti-Ultimate's theory is worth a shot too. SLI does often cause microstuttering which might be what you are experiencing.
Temps are fine and I have speedstep and thermal throttling disabled in the bios. SLI isn't enabled as this board only has a single PCI-e slot and I already did a clean install of my Nvidia drivers.
Check your ping, framerate, and judder (microstutter) using something like fraps. We need to know what type of "lag" we're dealing with before a source can be determined and a solution proposed/tested.
I don't get why you want me to use fraps? Do you want a recorded video of what my laggy experience is like? Would probably make more sense to use a less intensive capture software otherwise I will probably get like five or ten fps with fraps going.
No I want a benchmark so we can check for judder (severe dips in framerate that last only microseconds). Fraps can actually now measure frame times directly so that's even better.
Well Steam may have kicked the bucket from the sale, cards and rumors of a DDOS attack but I really enjoyed the whole gift stocking thing. Between alts I got 3 - 4 cosmetics out of it, renaming stock weapons or applying a custom description then selling them on the WH, free Mann Up tickets that I am trying to find a way to get to my main account.. The free weapons between the stockings and Mann Up mode is helping me rebuild my inventory a tiny bit at a time. Didn't get any games during the sale, the last game I got was Metro: Last Light but I believe that was before the holiday sale. Sold my snow globe cards on the market as I wouldn't be able to get all cards needed for a badge or item. I entered a holiday giveaway at TF2WH around Christmas and am waiting for winners to be picked and listed, hoping I won 150k credits. As for Mann Up I have 14 - 15 ToD tickets and 3 Surplus Vouchers and plan on getting as many more of them as I can before they return to their normal prices.

Just a warning, I think CryZENx's account may have been compromised. Out of the blue I get a message from his account that looks like a phishing link claiming I could get six free Steam games. I haven't seen him on the forum lately and would like to contact him outside Steam and find out if some idiot broke into his account and warn him to change his login information or contact Steam support.

I'm tired of being matched with newbies and losing wave after wave until everyone rage quits over and over.
