The thing is awesome for Mann Up MvM but it should not be allowed in it's current form on regular maps and game modes.

Just ran a ping test with my 3G hotspot and it looks quite good.



Why am I lagging so bad? I started thinking maybe it's not the connection that is completely at fault but the system I am using. A couple months ago my i7 LGA1366 motherboard failed and I needed some kind of replacement. I had an old Asrock G43Twins-FullHD Core2Duo motherboard lying around from when I had my Core2Duo system. So I bought a Core2Duo E7500 off Amazon cheaply, installed it in my Asrock motherboard, used a couple of my Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 sticks of ram I have from my other board and installed one of my GTX 460's. I recall getting a substantial amount of lag on a local Team Fortress 2 server so maybe something else is at play.

Did that ping test properly test your packet loss?

My computer can smoothly play TF2.

I can't play TF2 when my parents are home... -.-

@anyone you is under the age of 18/has parents, I recently did some searching for a friend who wanted to play tf2 but without blood/gibs, if you too want to play like this add this to your autoexec.cfg:

Does anyone know why I am getting such horrendous performance with my GTX 460? Even when I turn settings down I am getting dips into the upper 20's and low 30's on a goddamn Dustbowl server, something definitely isn't right with that. Right now my E7500 processor is clocked at 3.63 Ghz and I thought that would be enough juice to run the game without such massive drops.
