Go codec screen to pause a game 1st. Then go dolphin interface choose config, gamecube, you can see port1 are standard controller, change it to "nothing", then go port 2 to choose "standard controller"...After you fight mantis for a while, mantis will say "Is useless",you have to change port 2 to 3...

No port 2 -> need port 4 - try

I don't know how to thank you so I'll just say THANK YOU SO FRAKKIN MUCH! I didn't think about the config-->controller port option. It completely escaped my mind as I was trying to change it through the GCpad bindings menu.
