Full Version: Do I need a BIOS or ROM to run Wii on Dolphin?

DSP HLE use specific PC commands to emulate the DSP (sound, music, etc), but have a lot of bugs (also, some of these bugs never will be fixed due the nature of DSP HLE emulation)... DSP LLE read and execute the native code, providing more accuracy, but slower due the need of various CPU instructions to do simple tasks that would be performed with single instructions of HLE.

For the record, the DSP HLE bugs aren't caused by the nature of high-level emulation. In fact, it's perfectly possible to reach the same amount of accuracy with HLE as with LLE. It just requires a crazy amount of work.

Oh, good to know that there is a light on the end of tunnel for the DSP HLE...
Not really, since the last part of the sentence was meant to suggest that no one will ever fix HLE because it's too much work with little benefit (from a developer's perspective).
