the wireless XBOX360controller got a USB Cable... BUT ONLY FOR CHARGING
Yeah that kinda sucks.
I got a wired one and I bought it because I was uncertain the wireless one was gonna cause me troubles or not.
I kinda like a wired one, feels just like the good old times

What you need to do is to install the drivers for the controller, restart and you will find it in the list when you configure your controls.
That's how I did it and if that wasn't helpful at all then I will shut up.
Thanks for your help tho. I just now saw on google that Xbox controller actually uses an USB pluginDamn I'm stupid. I never knew that, I'm not an Xbox fan and know nothing about it, so I had no idea about that.
But thank you very much for your help
No problem mate I have updated my post with a link to the official Microsoft site in case you don't have the drivers on a DVD like I got with the controller
It's very easy and should yield very little problems, happy gaming.
Thank you!
And happy gaming yourself

But I do have another question. I will have to map the Xbox controller for Dolphin and I'm wondering how to do that? Will I need another program like GlovePie or does Dolphin have that build in?
thank you.

It should work kinda basic to map the corresponding buttons with the XBOX 360 controller.
What I do is just choose the controller in the list of outputs and map the buttons.
I have never used any kind of 3rd party software for mapping.

Ok cool.
Thanks for all your help guys. Really appreciate it.
And also, I would never ever buy wireless controller, it's a waste of money and it seams pointless. The cable is long enough for me to lay back and relax (or is it?) and it feels more "steady" then bluetooth

Absolutely mate, a wired one is more then sufficient to lay back and enjoy the ride!
I have heard to many bad stories with the wireless ones.
I really hope you will have a good experience with Dolphin, the developers is geniuses to have made something great like this.
