When I try to play Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door I get an error saying "An invalid device is inserted in Slot A. Please remove it and insert a memory card."

I have it formatted correctly I believe any help? I probably did a big n00b mistake or something :/

Do you have the proper memory card selected in the settings?
Also do you have these two files in your User/GC folder?

MemoryCardA.USA.raw
SRAM.raw

Of course USA could also be PAL or JAP if that's the region of the game.

Yes I have both files inside of the User/GC folder. When I try to select a .raw file with Memory Card Manager I get this error, "Failed to read header correctly (0x0000-0x1FFF)".

EDIT:

I fixed it.

I renamed the MemoryCardA.USA.raw to just MemoryCardA.raw and selected it with Memory Card Manager and it worked
