Yeah, I don't see the new name or game ID in the game properties as shown in the pic above.
Did you delete all the folders Dolphin uses to index, then reload everything?
I didn't. What files/directories are indexed (and need to be deleted)?
But I don't think that would make too much difference since the game name and ID initially shown in that program were also different than the info Dolphin lists there. After the change, still no difference.
Once a banner is found for a wii game the name is cached and read from the cache file from then on
if you have already changed the banner you need to clear the cache file
View > Purge Cache
Thanks, but that's still not the problem. See the screenshot and it should be clear - I need the pair marked in red adjusted. I need to change the "short" game name which is part of the banner.bin.
you would need to edit the banner.bin and then clear the cache file for that game
Ok, found a good hex editor, cracked open the banner.bin and after a lot of trial and error, got the titles looking right. Thanks for all the help!
Could you please tell us what the name of this hex editor is just in case someone else might look after it.
If you finally got it working that info could be useful.

I just use a light, free hex editor - XVI. It does the job!

Thanks for the info mate, hopefully it will help others that have the same problem.
Can someone reupload that program?
