No. The 5830 is only slightly better.

yes only slightly, but please DONT get a 5770. the 58XX is a much better family of cards.

some numbers:

5770
800 Stream Processing Units
40 Texture Units
64 Z/Stencil ROP Units
16 Color ROP Units
Processing power (single precision) 1.3 TeraFLOPS

5830
1120 Stream Processing Units
56 Texture Units
64 Z/Stencil ROP Units
16 Color ROP Units
Processing power (single precision) 1.7 TeraFLOPS

I see, so there's definitely a difference there, and how much more is a 5850 though?

Well I already have some arctic silver (Have it with me here actually, lol...), and I think I may have to buy the 5830 with the cooler on, for a start it's cheaper, and looks pretty nice, since the side of my computer will be clear, I'll be able to look through and be all like "Damn that looks amazing!", although I'm not sure when I'll be able to afford it, lol...

As for a cooler, I've never really seen how big they are, how much space do they take up? And do they just fit over the CPU instead of a heatsink, or do you put it ontop of the heatsink? Call me stupid lol, but I have no idea how to fit one Smile

yes the air coolers are big you'll, need a good mid tower case. if you aint got much space just get a h50-type-of-cooler

yes they fit on top the cpu and are held in place by some sort of clamp/clip

its pretty simple man.

Ah well if it just fits on top of the CPU then that's easy, just didn't know if it had to go anywhere special, lol... I'll have to see if my case would be big enough to fit one in, and if so I'll buy one, if not, well... I guess I'll have to buy a bigger case, but this one does look nice!

Not really sure, it's custom made and doesn't say anywhere on it, although I know the dimensions if that'll help?

Height - 410mm
Widith - 200mm
Depth - 480mm

it should be ok, is your psu top or bottom mounted? if top then it might be a problem if you get a h70 as it has a bigger radiator.

i have a HAF922: Dimension (W x H x D) : 253 x 502 x 563 mm
