some high performance games are using more than 1gb... crysis 2 and some other new generation games...
that options are always optional... (Ultra Textures mostly)
if the option is choosen and you only got 1gb... lets expect you get 50fps...
with a 2gb gpu you would get 53fps...
512mb are enough for dolphin...
and i think there is not a game which will be playable on your rig with that gpu who needs more than 512mb
there is no need for you to give your gpu your ram... (maybe gta IV)
