I'm looking to upgrade my laptop to the new 17 inch MacBook Pro.

The configured specs are:

2.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 3.4GHz)
8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
256GB Solid State Drive
AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory

I want to know if it will be capable getting 100% and get at least 30fps while running at 1080p
You should be able to pretty consistently get full speed, opengl is the worst backend, but the 6750 is a very capable card. I'm running on on a weaker nvidia 540m on windows and i can get full speeds most of the time, as for your cpu about the most capable cpu on a laptop. I don't own a mac, i'm simply drawing from my own experience with weaker hardware on windows assuming a small decrease in performance since it's opengl, you should still be fine
The new desktop macs and laptop macbook pros are the first macs that are actually very capable for gaming purposes as well.

You'll probably get near full speed on semi-high settings on that system. Even better if you can pick up a Mac with the Radeon 6970M.
