Alright, this question is unrelated to hardware. I was wondering if having programs run in the background could affect the performance of Dolphin much. For example, what if I have gadgets on my desktop? what if utorrent is running in the background? are there any great tips that would aid dolphin in running at peak speeds? like a specific program that will turn off currently running or unnecessary programs running? thanks

Lectrode has a link to such a programm he recommends on his homepage. It`s called "gamebooster", i think.
I just tested it with some games with benchmark-settings (like RE5); but there was absolutely no difference on my pc. Anyway, that doesnt mean, that it doesnt speed up your system, so give it a try.
