Its completely dependant on which games you're playing. From what i've noticed GC games take a lot less muscle to play.

I'd say the bare minium that you can get by with and this is for 100% on almost every game is

OS choice thats best is win 7 64 that way you can truly use your dual core cpu.

2.2-2.5ghz Dual CPU with 2Mb of L2 cache and preferably on that has an L3 cache

2GB of ram on XP, 4GB of ram on windows 7 Dual channel is possable and the higher the clock speed the better. So if you can use 1333 use it.

ATI 1700 or a Geforce 8600. These cards are fucking seriously old but the absolute lowest i'd recomend for Wii or ps2 emulators. More modern cards really dont give to much of an advantage. Dolphin is a CPU whore and generally doesnt give two shits about your gpu as long as its not bottle necking the emulator.

Thats pretty much it.

If you're on laptops you're shit out of luck you'd have to buy one with gaming in mind in the first place. Also you really have to buy an expensive as shit laptop if you wanna do these emulators. You're looking at $1000. And while that doesnt seem like much laptops are deposable items these days. Dont expect that laptop to last you more than 3 years. Hence why everyone buys shitty netbooks now adays and throws them away when they break.
Hey , my laptop cost 700$ and it's powerful enough to play games such as Super Mario Galaxy 2 (40 FPS , 1366x768,no AA, AF: 16x,Scale 2x or intergral)

Are you saying every APPLE is in requirements or are you saying, "No, apple is out of requirements" this is one of those times where grammar did actually matter lol
Well, that windows 7 of mine is a laptop...

But, can I play Super Mario Sunshine at a good speed in that laptop?

you can try... it's a good test if that works "quite" fine you can hope to get other games working "quite" fine too Big Grin
Hey, I tried playing Super Mario Sunshine using the latest version (r7533) using RAMdisk and the game normally runs at the speed of 90% as an average (sometimes it goes to 70%, particullary when i get close to that M in delfino plaza to go to the first stage, where petey is). Will it be good at other games too

once more it depends which games you wanna play Wink
For the ultimate Dolphin experience the newer Sandy Bridge i5 or i7's is to be preferred.
I'm just thinking of what the Ivy bridge could do with Dolphin, next year will be an exiting year.
