The severe flicking is the last serious problem this game has I think (along being hard to run full speed)
The speed problem is important, I only get 25 FPS with sound and is quite slow.
We'll just have to hope there's a lot of potential left. They know that there is at least some descent improvements to be done in core.
If the game gets fully fixed, wonder if we can run Super Mario Galaxy 2 perfectly emulated at launch?

It seems mostly an expansion to the first so hopefully no new tricky wii coding that Dolphin doesn't understand.
Probably Super Mario Galaxy 2 will use the same engine, so it can be playable I think. I have some doubts on Other M tho

I'd be happy if the first one would be kinda playable

Try it in single core mode

Pull stars works in dual core mode also now. I tried Dolphin on Windows 7 today and it worked perfectly (wouldn't boot games before, a mystery) about 5 more FPS on Windows 7 x64 compared to Vista x86.
The flickering is fixed and the first stage looks great, except the boss at the end is way too bright.
I'm pretty sure when I tried it with the flickering textures, the boss looked normal. The boss used to flicker, my bad.

Awesome! That's a lot of fixes in very little time! Anyone willing to post up some more screenshots or a video? That would be awesome!
Amazing work Dolphin Team!

On chaoses twitter it says it has a speed increase as well. I am still getting same fps. I am getting 20-25fps ingame. Also the game freezez when I get to the first galaxy. Could someone post there set ups if you are getting more than my fps? Thanks. Good job devs for sound and flicker fix!
