Probability of a WiiU emulator being started within 10 years: 0.000001%
Probability of a WiiU emulator being playable within 10 years: 0.00000000000000000000000000000000001%
Probability of dolphin ever supporting WiiU emulation: 0%
Let me put it to you this way fennecat. Comparing the wii to the wiiu is like comparing an ant to an elephant. They're completely different on every level. The only reason dolphin supports two different platforms is because the wii is nothing more than a shrunken down GC with a new controller, since they are nearly identical dolphin can use 99.9999999999% of its code for both GC and wii games. Dolphin is a wii emulator, therefore it will never support the wiiu. And the chances of anyone working on a wiiu emulator over the next 10 years are slim. The chances of such an emulator being even remotely playable are virtually none.
Is it some sort of joke day? Bethesda says they're testing new Skyrim patch then you say Nintendo is going to announce an online system. Reggie did say their going to start doing this DLC thing so I suppose its possible.

GPU: Custom R600 (d3d10.1, openGL3.3) gpu that is supposed to be 50% faster than the gpu in the ps3/xbox360, which would put it about on par with a HD3650, fabricated at 40nm
This doesn't look good for hardware requirements.
Will the Dolphin project integrate Wii U emulation for those of us who have powerful machines?
It's easy, just rename your dolphin executable to Dolphin-U and it'll play Wii U game. Guaranteed.

No not really, the chances are there as long as graphene cpu kick off, the question is more about when.

You misunderstood my sentence.
Quote:And the chances of anyone working on a wiiu emulator over the next 10 years are slim. The chances of such an emulator being even remotely playable are virtually none.
Meaning: "if somebody did make a wiiU emulator within the next 10 years the chances of it being playable are virtually none"
And I'm sorry to break this to you but graphene transistors are not going to be the magical solution to all our problems. Everybody has been spouting BS about them ever since IBM showed one functioning at 100GHz. Nobody seems to realize that microprocessors never run at clock rates anywhere near what the individual components are capable of running at. Even if we switch to graphene we will still have to find a way around the power consumption and heat limitations, graphene transistors won't solve that. Just because it CAN run at high clock rates doesn't mean it's practical to build a microprocessor using them that runs at such absurd clock rates. There are numerous other alternatives out there, many of which are showing more promise at the moment.
I think you mean break, and I'm interested in that alternative, not really following those kind of news.

you could rename this thread "Wii U emulator?" since the thread has mainly talked about a future emulator for this system. Garteal's thread is rather about Wii U's launch. Two threads with similar names will confuse people

i swear i just read through 89 posts of "FAP FAP FAP FAP."
