Nintendo is not aiming at super-powered super-pricey hardware, the same was true with the Wii. Even when the hardware was nowhere near the power of its competitors, it managed pretty well to keep up with the big boys in terms of sales.
I think that the new specs are more than enough to have awesome versions of Nintendo classics, and then some more.
However, I'm not thrilled about the supposed new touch screen controller, but we'll see where it goes.

Usually, I would blindly assume Nintendo's concepts somehow will be great anyway, but after the wii... no.
