Surprised you aren't using VS2011 CP. MS has added auto-vectorizing and auto-parallelizing so it might be almost as fast as ICC.

I thought that was windows 8 only? (I am currently not compiling on the computer with win 8)

People here have no problem using beta/not production ready/whatever term you want to use for not official version Git builds using a stable compiler. Does using a beta compiler suddenly make them scary?

It's a known fact that using Vista within a week of windows 7 causes headache, nausea and in rare cases suicide or mass murder.
