I can't think of a single game I want that has come out so far this year and the few games that I did buy this year I regret buying. But of course that's just my opinion.

Max Payne 3. Really.
max payne 3 was...well It was a one trick pony.

No real variety to the game play it was a very 1 direction game. It did what it did well though. I enjoyed the first half but didnt really feel any need to push forward it felt like I had already played all the game had to offer.
In addition to Shonumi and Starscream, these are also worth mentioning:
    PC
  • Amnesia
  • Assassins Creed 3
  • Baldurs Gate
  • Borderlands 2
  • Darksiders 2
  • Dark Souls
  • Dishonered
  • Far Cry 3
  • Hitman
  • Jet Set Radio
  • Torchlight 2
  • Transformers
  • Realms Of Ancient War
  • Red Orchestra 2
That's all I can think off right now.

The campaign does, multiplayer on the other hand is something like I've never seen. But have always imagined, funnily enough Tongue
Still, I find the game pretty amusing, it stays true to the previous ones, even tough they changed the noir style to a different, movie-like one

Well that explains it. When it comes to release dates I go by the date that the game originally released, regardless of what country that was in.

Quote:Amnesia

Looks interesting. I have it on steam but haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

Quote:Baldurs Gate

This isn't really a new game.

Quote:Borderlands 2
Darksiders 2
Far Cry 3
Assassins Creed 3

Boring rehash sequels to games that were never particularly interesting in the first place.

Quote:Dark Souls

This was actually quite good. I had forgotten about this gem.

Quote:Dishonered

Not much has been shown so far on this one so I don't know what to make of it yet.

Quote:Transformers ?????
Hitman Absolution

Please list the full game name. I don't see any transformers game set for release in 2012.

Hitman absolution looks like just another hitman game so far.....not particularly interesting. But not much has been shown so far so we'll have to wait and see.

Quote:Torchlight 2

I haven't tried it but I have heard good things about it.

Quote:Jet Set Radio
Realms Of Ancient War

Hadn't heard of these until today so I'll have to look them up.

Quote:Red Orchestra 2

A good idea ruined by a buggy release and lack of important features. They've only just got around to bringing it up to the level of quality that it should have had at release. But now it's too late as the community is basically already dead. I hate when this happens, because it was so close to being something amazing and unique. And in a see of mindless copy/paste sequels we desperately need that right now. A gaming tragedy.

Watch dogs and the last of us both looked interesting.

Doesn't matter, a lot of people don't even know about it.
The things they're going to do with it sound interesting.

Well that's your opinion.
Personally I only care for Borderlands 2, Darksiders 2 and Assassins Creed 3.
Haven't played any Far Cry game yet.

Yeah, too bad the devs have really screwed things up.
They're trying to get the port out as quickly as possible.
We all know what that's going to lead to. :/

Yeah, it did look interesting though. Reason to mention it.

Oh, I'm sorry. I will name them fully next time.
That would be Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
They announced a PC version at e3.
Hitman looked alright from my perspective. Haven't played any of the games.

I recently got a steam guestpass for 3 days for this game, and man, I really enjoyed this game.
It was so different from anything FPS-wise I've ever played.

I've seen some full 64-player servers when I was playing, but there were only a handful.
I hope that the community will grow somehow...
It's holding on by a thread. It reminds me of shattered horizon, a unique and amazing fps ruining by an incomplete release. The community was never strong enough to keep things going in a multiplayer game.

Yeah, some people keep tabs of games internationally, and that's perfectly valid (just look at sites like RPGFan, my fav gaming site for the genre). But I buy most of my games from Best Buy and GameStop, so for me games are released whenever they start selling them. :p

Yeah, I always liked SH, but none of my friends had it so I eventually stopped playing :/
