Greetings

Every time I try playing with the x64 version of dolphin it doesn't start, it always gives me the 0x000007b error, I have installed MS Visual C++ Runtime 2010 SP1 (32 and 64) and the last DirectX version, yeah the webinstaller you recommend says I have the last version, so why I still having this issue?, I have tried with a lot of releases but any works, even the last today (r7470), the x86 version works perfect.

I reinstalled MS Visual C++ Runtime 2010 SP1 and DirectX, but with no success, even tried only installing the x64 version of Visual C++, but the same problem.

My specs are:
Windows 7 Professional x64
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T clocked at 4000 Mhz
8 Gb Dual Ram running at 2000 Mhz

Sorry for my bad english.
Ati Radeon HD 4850 Gb ram
Mother Board Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3
May be bad ram.
Use memtest to check.
Memory and others components already tested, all of them are fine, also others x64 emulators and games are working fine.

Also remember only the x64 version is having problems, the x86 version of dolphin works perfect.
Why do people instantly blame hardware?
This is a software issue and it has been resolved already, learn to search. Wink

I said maybe, you Idiot.
@KaMakaZeDaN I already did that, and it didn't work, in my first post I told I had MS Visual C++ Runtime 2010 SP1 already installed, I reinstalled again the first and the Sp1, none of them worked.

because 0x000007b is a BSOD code as well which usually implies a Memory fault.

Calm down, don't cry. No need for name calling.

I suggest uninstalling all of the C++ packages you have installed, x86 versions and x64 versions. Then install only the x64 bit version as it is the x64 version that fixes the issue.
When i did this the emulator worked without sp1x64, although i did install it later and the emulator continues to work.

Once you have the emulator working in 64bit then feel free to install the over versions around it if needed. Remember to reboot after uninstalling.

When i attempted this fix, i uninstalled everything and started again with just vcredist_x64.exe installed.

If after doing that and it still doesnt work. You might want to consider taking any overclocks on the system off, purely for testing?
The overclocks could be causing instability, but i doubt it if your pc works alright as it is.
don't suggest stupid things.

the x86 might not be needed by x64 apps, but its sure as hell needed for any future app built with VS2010 (that doesn't statically link them)

I am only talking from experience, suggesting things that may hopefully help this guy out. Smile

I don't see any possibly helpful suggestions coming from you. :/
