So, as this was made for Reddit (then copied onto ragecomics.com, but that's irrelevant) if you like it in any way this is the momentous occasion in which someone beats naturalviolence in an online argument.



This may not actually be as humorous as I remember, as it wasn't intended to win me an argument, but it's got a paedophile, so should entertain any regular of /b.

My "argument" (I don't believe I've made any formal argument here but whatever) is more along the lines of time and frequency. By the time a new meme or something reaches 9GAG or facebook it's old and has been copied and changed with extreme frequency.

Even if something is funny to begin with it starts to get old when you see 900 different versions of it everywhere on the internet (most of which tend to be significantly worse than the original since a lot of the modified versions are usually made by people who didn't understand the original). It's even worse when somebody steals it off 4chan and takes credit for it, when that happens it pisses me off to no end.

Yeah, the date-stamp said that it was from November 2010, but it said it came from Reddit underneath.

Anyway, the time I tried 4chan, I really couldn't cope with the amount of unjustified racism and slightly too graphic paedophilia jokes. Someone suggested to try /g, but I don't trust 4chan.

I do admit that a lot of stuff that I've seen directly stolen from 4chan was pretty humorous, but I haven't seen things evolve or develop. The few more-than-4-panel rage comics I've seen from there were dire, and by the time that level of development was attempted, 4chan's posts weren't delivered to me by iOS apps any more, so I got no contact with it until as described previously, I sought it out, and was disappointed.

If we're going to use your diagram, I have to say that Reddit has a sewage treatment plant which removes the excrement, or at least cleans it, but this doesn't stop it from producing excrement.

You probably tried /b/

/b/ is completely different from most of the rest of 4chan, it's full of retards and trolls that produce nothing of value, avoid it like the plague. Instead pick something you're interested in and try that. If like me you enjoy video games for example try /v/ and /vg/. Granted even on those boards 95% of the content is shit, but that's true of virtually every community and that's why you browse for good threads (which doesn't take every long if you have the plugins). Probably only 1 out of every 20-30 threads is worth reading but browsing for the good ones is relatively fast and if you can't deal with that then you should probably stay away.
