atleast the RC fixed hte NDIS and usbhid dpc issues
WHY did it have to go away? Just because it's old doesn't mean that it's not extremely useful. And why are they trying so hard to keep third party devs from bringing it back when the only reason that these devs would want to try and bring it back is if they really wanted it back?
They're not listening to what the developers want. They're not listening to what the users want. So who exactly are they listening to with these design decisions? Oh right.....speculative marketing.
On the good side of things, they're fixing my 2 biggest problems with it before release:
1) the huge jar between Metro and the Desktop
2) the corner catching things

When all is said and done, we're gonna laugh looking back at this discussion some day.
The transition from 7 to 8 went smooth and is as simple as ABC 123.
I don't even miss the Start Button and Start Menu.
Just relax and everything is gonna be OK, I think you're gonna like Windows 8 faster then you know it.
Just let it grow to you.
thats because you're an idiot who uses less programs than everyone else.

Why do I have to be an idiot for using less programs then anyone else?
I like to have a clean PC with as less programs as possible installed.
Why is it that I rarely have any issues with practically anything, because my PC isn't bogged down with unnecessary junk.
Less programs, less problems. Less problems, less headaches.
BAKA!
They still better make metro XBox 360 pad compatible. Xpadder's mouse emulation is somewhat awkward, but if metro works like the XBox menu, then I may be able to cope with pc operation from a distance.

Yeah I kinda like that idea actually. But when I have launched an emulator from Metro I still have to get up and launch the specific game manually with the mouse I guess.
