That's just my guess tough, I'm going to try it out, I could be just wrong Tongue
Im still a little reluctant to believe in miracles Smile

I'm looking at the history of Microsoft and past previews and betas, Windows 7 beta used a lot more resources than what Windows 7 final did. Mind you right now, WDP is W7 with a few kernel differences and Metro UI, but a lot of it is suppose to be different and not final aside from Metro. Big example that is a big mess of crap anyway, is the registry is going out in Windows 8 final.

What? You mean, no more registry?
Yeah uh, as long as he doesn't back up THAT claim with some source, I'll assume he's just making up stuff.
Yup this is getting weird :/
Maybe it's Steve Ballmer typing, who knows Big GrinBig Grin
Of course, it's pre-beta, what did you expect?! O.o

It's supposed to be... Wink
Well... we can all agree on that Windows 8 is far far from being complete.
Those who have been using the Developer Preview without as much an hickup or errors have been very lucky I would say in my book.
Just asking the question "Can you use Windows 8 as the primary OS" is insane....gives me chills.

Not really, Microsoft is a gigacompany, when they release alpha's or previews, they have tested the OS on multiple systems, multiple times.

Yeah, they have till fall 2012 iirc for the OS so plenty of time to fix stuff under the hood.

Yes you could, but prepare to relearn Windows all over again.
all over again is an overstatement, you could switch metro off back to old windows shell, though if all they tout with windows 8 is the metro framework, as a desktop user, I can't see any incentive to upgrade...
