No problem, I do re-installs quite a lot and I have several checklists and routines for everything I do.
Windows 7 is running smooth every time I use it.
explorer.exe always consumes some runtime, the more junky registries you have, you will notice it will run with more "MEM USAGE".

the better way is to using taskmgr.exe to kill tasks.
