Fallout 3 was not fallout, it was gamebryo junk.

Well one thing could be uncontrollable situations like serious accidents, war, terror, natural disasters etc. etc.

Hey, squall, if you do not count Fallout 3 as part of the series (which is frankly a normal thing to do), than El Digato question stands - why do you hate Fallout series?

And as for what I fear... Hmm... Death. Not mine, that would be just inconvinient - but the death of everyone else.

they won't work in DOSbox properly.

And you are aware that second one can be run even on Windows 7 without much trouble right? The first one not so much though (they say it's possible, I didn't menage to do so), true... But why DOSbox? First one was made in 1997, the correct tool would be VirtualBox with Windows 95.
