Those issues include bgm/music issues such as bgm stopping in Zelda Ucode games, issues with bgm fading in/out or stopping altogether in other games, missing or incorrect audio in some games, volume issues, black screens/hangs in some games due to issues with HLE audio, syncing issues and the list goes on. LLE audio is nearly perfect except for the slowdowns, the brief one second pauses of silence is not a bug, but a feature to keep audio and video in sync.

That sounds like sweet music to my ears.

I think LLE and the 2600K will get along just fine once the 3.0 release hits and I have OC'ed the s*** out of the I7.

There are some issues not fixed with LLE that exist in both plugins, this likely has nothing to do with LLE though but the mixer. I believe HLE and LLE audio both share the same mixer/backend code.

From what I hear, XAudio2 is tons better than DSound, so hopefully DSL LLE will be able to run on that eventually, making it even that much better, in theory.
XAudio2 doesn't really offer any advantage over DSound, apart from slightly higher quality maybe.

Well, I did say in theory, since I wasn't sure exactly how much better XAudio2 is over DSound. However, I read somewhere, and if I understand the article correctly, XAudio2 is considerably easier for developers to work with over DSound.

It depends on your windows.

Xaudio is better on vista/7, since dsound gets emulated at higher latency via WASAPI on these os's.
