I got an offer about a ASUS P8H61 motherboard along with a Intel Core i7 2600 3,4GHz Socket 1155 for 495$
Should I take it or leave it?
This would mean that the Q9650 and the 8GB DDR2 memory have to go.
I'll just take 4GB DDR3 from the other build and the NVIDIA card I'll keep along with the 650W OCZ PSU and NZXT chassie.
What do you mean you got an "offer"? Do you have to pay for it (if so, how much) or is it free? Is this supposed to be a trade? Until that information is established it's going to be hard to tell you what to do.
Yes I have to pay for it, I see now that the price I wrote blends in with the rest so it's hard to see.
The offer is 495$, kinda like an upgrade kit.
495$ is like ~3200 SEK (Swedish currency), pretty cheap I must say.
Edit: Updated first post so the price is bold.
Edit 2: The 2600 is without the unlocked multiplier which the 2600K have.
But with 3.4GHz who needs to OC anyway.
You're not going to see much difference I don't think, just overclock what you have and wait for something new to come out. Get some other opinions, though.

To tell you the truth, I bought the Q9650 4-5 months ago, the price for it today is 30$ more then a I7 2600.
I feel so ripped off, but it's not that bad I already had the socket 775 board so that's why I did the upgrade to the Q9650 in the first place from an E7400.
You're really sure that I won't see any difference?
Maybe you're right, maybe I'll just wait for the Ivy bridge instead.

Edited version that you missed.
Your Q9650 is pretty decent .Just OC it to 4Ghz (100% safety), you don't need to upgrade anymore
I called the store that sold it and told them about my plan, they said don´t bother because there is so little gain.
I guess there really is no point for me in upgrading with the setup I have. But just for the price it was tempting.
Guess I´ll OC a bit when I have some time over.
That's an OK deal, not a great deal. I'de take a 2500k over a 2600 anyday personally.
I want to warn you that I'm a kind of guy that change my mind more quicker then Super Man can fly to the moon.
Therefor it's still an open game here.
I see it like now the seed is planted, give it a week and it might have grown or not.
The 2600 is so F*ing tempting.
God I have to stop talk about it or it might just end up in a buy.
