Wer not here to discuss whats OVERPRICED!

Ur telling us that Intel CPU i7 980x Is better,OK IT IS hmm lets see the dark side.OH IT COSTS 1000EUROS?

While BEST amd x6 costs 220Euros MAX?

Think about it for a while please!

Not really. My i7 920 cost me £130. You just have to be smart, and know where to buy from.

Buying brand new computer parts these days is stupid really, and you're just ripping yourself off.

If you're from the UK, get yourself over to http://www.overclockers.co.uk and sign up to the forums, get 250 posts, and gain access to the members market. You can get some excellent bargains there.
Ok, someone rename this thread to "everything except the truth about AMD or any other thing being discussed in this shitty thread"
AMD is for students/teens/budget builders, it's not that hard to grasp.

If you can game at sub-1080p and have a good graphics card just build a system around Phenom X4 or X6.

Quality is subjective to each person. Someone would get an eyesore playing at 1024x768 and refuse to play.
For another person it looks normal and acceptable.

If you want to max. out pc games and dolphin (or if you do any kind of real work on your computer) then go for i7/i5 and a gtx 500 series card or radeon 6950+.

Thats me Sad
I just upgraded from a AMD X2 5200+ @3.2GHz (overclocked) to Intel 2600K @3.4GHz (stock)
....it's so much better, it's ridiculous. Also, it was "only" ~$325, which is low for a high-end cpu in my opinion (in the past they have been ~$1000).

Also, resolution doesn't have much to do with dolphin performance as long as you have a decent graphics card (I have a gtx280 for a few years and have never been gpu-limited by dolphin). Probably any modern midrange card is more than enough for dolphin.

Haha you are really a poor guy.. I don't care what your i7 can do.. is not in discussion.. we all know that's the best cpu IN THE WORLD.. someone said that dmeagher101 could buy a phenom II 955 or a i3 540.. so between this 2 cpu.. I tell him what my amd cpu can do, because NOBODY uses a pc JUST for Dolphin.. and also I NEVER SAID THAT AMD IS BETTER THAN INTEL but I asked someno who own a i3 tell us how it works for him..

Why so sad all the time Ryan?
You know, today I think AMD is just as good as Intel and with the upcoming Bulldozer, AMD finally have a real competitor.

They make it sound so harsh, I'm not even one of the groups mentioned and still I choose AMD and I don't consider it to be a budget brand any longer, I admit I did once but that label is long gone.

To me it was the perfect logical choice this time. I wanted a powerful ATI card and we all know ATI = AMD.
So in that case we might as well say that ATI is an budget brand also.

Cheer up sonny, owning an AMD isn't making you a worse person.
Remember it's not the size that matter, it's what you do with it.
Just be glad with what you have, we have all been in that position some point in our lives were we felt that our PC's were bad.
