I really thing it would be great if we just "modernized" the current logo. I will try to do that later, but the thing is I really hate graphic design and I take too much time to do it ^^

I didn't mean for the icon to be a logo, just a desktop icon. Not sure if that's still what you mean since we've all been using the words interchangeably in this thread. If I were to create a full-scale logo or banner I could much more easily associate it with Dolphin.

Something like this could accompany the icons:

Yeah I'd like to see a modernized version of the current logo. Big fan of Mario and the Victory Sign.

I was talking about the desktop icon as well..
It's not like we were having some sort of "project logo" anyway, the dolphin image in the forums isn't really an official logo.

Uhm, just thought I should provide you with the following idea: You don't like the idea of a black outline so instead of that you could set it's attribute in Photoshop to "Overlay". Also I just tried a different idea of the Dolphin font in the "about" screen as it fits more into the nintendo thingy. Let me know what you think about my idea (:



As you can see, I have already added the black outline like I described it. I think it doesn't destroy the colours.

I like the Nintendo oval with Dolphin where the word Nintendo would be. Post some just with that, but in red as it's supposed to be.
