I guess that's really true, when I started with Dolphin late 2009 I started with a Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8GHz with a 512mb 9800GT GPU

Most of the games ran pretty fine back then but yet sluggish, then a year later I upgraded to a Core 2 Quad Q9650 and a GTX 460 and noticed a big improvement and today I don't notice any difference at all from playing on a real Cube more then some occasional sound issues.

Actually Latest Faster revision was r6495 anything newer doesn't work faster than it

7370 is good but not more than 6495, at least for ATI cards, i have 2 machines with ati cards

Newest versions are just to have good audio

I try every revision to see how it goes in my machines (of course when the revision have the changes merit to try)

I have an ATI card, but I find the newer revisions WAY faster than 6495 for me.

not really... games work better but slower (in general)
lies

this revision is fast.

which one? 7370? maybe but I used 7128/7280/7442 and as I said games work better but often slower
Are Linux builds still far slower than Windows ones with latest revisions? SMG2, for instance, runs at least very acceptable on Windows, while on Linux terribly slow and not even constant fps readings.
Well. They obviously are, then.. Tongue

linux is slower by nature and so on emulators & Co Big Grin
When it comes to Dolphin, I wouldn't sacrifice anything regarding speed, accuracy and performance going with either Linux or Mac.
Dolphin like it better in a Windows environment and my Dolphin loves to swim in open waters where everything flows on ha ha Big Grin
Sorry if I keep repeating myself, but someone please poke marcosvitali. His last fifo commits are most of the reason why performance is worse once again and some games are crashing.
