Well, Returning to topic:

The i7 is strong enough to overcome almost all small issues that may have come about in new revisions. The people with the Athlon X2's, Core2Duo's or lower will notice some speed changes as time goes by, though.

Thanks for talking with Coherence!

this revision is fast.

which one? 7370? maybe but I used 7128/7280/7442 and as I said games work better but often slower

r7xxx with DirectX (You can't use OGL on r7xxx) is NOT faster than r6xxx with OpenGL & configured Correctly:
720p-1080p, Antialiasing, Anisotropic, Mipmaps, etc, all forced to get extreme graphics

On MY 2 PCs! Dodgy

r7xxx have better Compatibility & less Bugs than r6xxx, more noticed on Wii Games
I like r7xxx to play ZeldaTP but without the extreme Graphics, just at 1280x720

Well, to be fair I havent tried the latest revisions because of Vacations, wich rev75xx is Good?

I'm not an developer so I don't know anything about coding or Visual Studio.
I think it's on the contrary, I see small improvements the more of the newer revisions I try out.
Could be just me though Undecided

Or it could be your freakin' fast i7 2600k

Ouch! Big Grin
I haven't tried 75XX yet... I've stopped to 7485 that isn't that bad Wink
Neither I have updated, I'm still suffering with 7411 since I have the suposition that no matter what revision, it will always be ridiculously slower on Linux than on Windows for an unknown reason (already tried many settings with no success). However I think there was once a guy here on the forums that claimed to run NSMB on Ubuntu at very good fps. Sorry, I don't remember anything more, except that his hardware specs were not too far from mine.

I'm still looking for acceptable fps on Linux, and I'm starting to think it can be a matter of Dolphin rev or even Linux distro. What do you think? Can it be Dolphin works different on different distros? I would also like to try previous Dolphin revisions to build, but I don't know how to get them. The one gotten from SVN is always the last one. Does someone know how to get previous revs? In particular 6092 works very well for me at least on Windows despite my specs.

Use TortiseSVN to get prior revisions. You will want to use http://dolphin-emu.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ in the "URL of repository" field.
Is there TortoiseSVN for Linux?

EDIT: heck, even with Game Cube Super Smash Bros Melee I have the same luck as with the other games... My specs are not excellent but this is something beyond that...

Try http://rabbitvcs.org/
Could it be that Dolphin works different according to Linux distribution used?
Any idea?
Anyone know why one or more of Marco's fifo commits caused slowdowns? I tried looking at the code but can't for the life figure it out. I think either r7123 or r7185 caused slowdowns. I was going to dig in and see if there was anything I could change to get the speed back but can't figure out what code would have caused the slowdown.
