Ok, I just found out this (sorry if this was posted before). using Dx11 plugins, also checking lock threads to core (dont know very well the name because my language is spanish) you can have full speed in The last story, yes full speed.

The trick : you must put all the settings like the ones in the picture below, but when you start to see the character (it doesn't matter that the game show itself slow, you pick the Dx11 plugins and change RAM for Texture, now the game will speed up like magic and it will remain like that until you close the emu, the characters still will be visible and if you check the dx11 plugin again, the plugin will have RAM enabled even if you chose Texture, have fun Smile

Tested now with Dx9 and it works too Big Grin

kurayami

I did this trick too when on video cut scene. (I got around 20 FPS on I7 2600k CPU run around 50% it'll run full speed if disable EFB or change to texture) On another part of game. I don't need to do this.
I guess dolphin should implement auto disable "Copy EFB to Texture or RAM" when on full screen cut scene. (since it's not needed)
its in some games needed...
the coins in super mario doesnt spin and so on

I means full screen cut scene that no 3d overlay that is. only pure full screen video. Which doesn't need it of cause.
I noticed something like this too in Okami, In Dx9 the front of the image will only update with EFB to RAM, which is slow, but Dx11 has this "flaw", that if you switch from RAM to texture, it will still work (although not perfectly)
Seems like a very interesting game... TP-like graphics, soundtrack composed by Nobuo Uematsu... but Nintendo only released it in Japan -> damn Japan exclusives!

Which revisions have you guys used to get any additional speed? Cuz I don't feel any difference when i tried to use this trick with "Dolphin-win-x64-r7344". 50-60% of performance before and same after... =(
Will you plzz give us your dolphin version ? and also could you post a picture of your sittings in english ????

Thanks for your method , but it didn`t worked in my version 6331 .
I was using revision 7326, also I compiled the emu myself and it compiles in spanish xDDD. There isn't any science there, just change de RAM option for Texure, simple as that Smile

This trick also works in Linux xDDD
