Full name of this technology is Hybrid CrossfireX.
Mind that for nvidia sli U need 2 or 3 or ...no it's over, max 3 exactly the same cards
there is no other way to run it.
With ATI graphics U can run any 2 or 3 or 4 Radeons as long as it supports CrossfireX.
Generally I was very dissapointed in nVidia when ATI took the lead and is till today always one step before nVidia thou I was running SLI by myself some time ago.
