Why I'm not surprized seeing the next false claim coming from you... Like it or dislike it, there are no any new "SP1 compatible" versions of Precision or Afterburner on the way. The only thing needed to be done to get the software working is full product reinstallation (including full previous version removal) to make precached OSD server's hooking info to be recreated on the next install. So those who able to read and follow simple instructions may do it. Waiting for a "fixed" will not help you.
That's the only comment I'll leave in this thread and forum, so don't bother replying.

rjohnson11 Wrote:Well for one thing some people are trying to blame this on unwinder but I think it is a Windows based problem. Microsoft doesn't test every single app out there for their service pack upgrades so the solution for this is a complete uninstall and reinstall of the app. In other words this is a workaround for a problem caused by Microsoft. Remember that there were no issues until AFTER the SP1 upgrade.

squall-leonhart Wrote:Its not a windows problem Its a fact that only his applications are affected in this way, no other osd capable applications are causing crashes, so take it as you will. this is just typical unwinder response to an issue that should not have been in the first place. (his history of overreaction precedes him)

Its clearly a failure to check cache and invalid correctly (and if he wants some good examples of that he should try contacting some Spanish developers), and the uninstallation and reinstalling is just a workaround fix. it doesn't actually resolve the problem in the application itself, so it could occur again if MS releases future patches.

Fucking guy pisses me off, his success with rivatuner turned him into a complete arrogant prick, and has led to his apps being banned on several forums coz he causes issues when people provide notably positive criticism.
Arrogant prick is some real " notably positive criticism ", Bitch ^^ ?

no, im all for the destructive, coz breaking em down is the best way to build em back up.
and you re absolutely right , jk with you (but im kind of a guru3d member since like forever ...)^^
on both attempts of being a member there, i ran into the dumbest administration and staff i've ever come across.
worse still is that they had no intention of educating themselves.

i think morbias and ghostxl are the only 2 members i could actually stand there.

sounds like gbafail to me
not much of a choice when rivatuner is the only software that actually allows you to do stuff like forcing constant 2d-3d clocks etc.

afterburner is ok for general OC'ing but it lacks the wide functionality of RT.

if someone made an alternative app I'd jump on it.

get with the times, nvidiainspector does now.
I'd use it, sadly NVI has like 5% of the features rivatuner has. they aren't really comparable (also NVI lacks many vital features and reg values)

since no other software provides such wide functionality people are forced to use it

NVI = great for individual game profiles though
many of those registry keys in RT aren't even valid anymore.

since nvidia moved to using the NVAPI for settings changes.
